Left Bank Magazine is throwing a virtual music festival to support the community and Bands do BK is joining the party
To say that these are weird times would be the understatement of the century, but despite it all, I’m VERY stoked to still be bringing the music via the Bands do BK stage at Left Bank Magazine‘s recently announced *virtual* music festival, LEFT BANK LIVE.

Everyday the community of artists and musicians surrounding Left Bank inspire me—whether its a new tune that I immediately add to every playlist and play on repeat, a kind note from a stranger in Singapore or Chile, or hanging at a show from Brooklyn to London. I started Left Bank because I was looking for a home for my artistic endeavors and in doing so I (and we) created an internet home for the world of underground musicians. And now it’s time for us to give back. The evolving COVID-19 global crisis has affected every one of us from economic to emotional, physical and mental, and while Left Bank can’t stop a spreading pandemic, we can offer a place for solace and positivity. It’s after all, the Left Bank way. Today I am beyond happy to announce we will be hosting a 5-day, 12 hour livestream virtual festival, coming to the interwebs next week. We have some of our favorite artists playing and now, especially in this time, we are hoping you’ll join us—hop online next Tuesday, see a set, stay for coffee, listen to a live podcast, and hopefully you’ll leave feeling a lot more connected and happier than before it started. Way too much love, Kristyn
For five days, a very rad roster of musicians (and more) will be live-streaming performances + providing much-needed positive vibes from their personal spaces, and it’s the ideal opp to get your much-needed music fix while helping out some artists who could really use your love and support. (While the fest is FREE, artists will be accepting donations via Venmo.)
The event will be taking place March 17-22 on Left Bank’s YouTube channel. The Bands do BK takeover begins at 12:30 on Thursday, March 19, with a lineup featuring nine 30-minute sets from our faves: Olivia K, Dead Tooth, Sharkswimmer, Shadow Monster, Yella Belly, Colatura, Atlas Engine, Prince Johnny and Climates.
Tune in, tell your friends, support the artists and spread the love.
We’ll see you on the internet <3
