Along with a brand-new music video, the dream-psych artist shared his favorite spots to score breakfast, books and the “best vegan reuben this side of the Mississippi”
We dig it. A lot. And because we always want more from our favorite artists, ahead of the upcoming DD Island show at Purgatory on September 9th (tix here), we asked Brandon Rhodes to share his favorite spots in Brooklyn—and beyond.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE…
Probably TV Eye. Sound is good. Drinks are good. Great shows!
My Deli & Grill on Jefferson & Wilson Ave. in Bushwick near Irving Square Park. Best vegan reuben this side of the Mississippi.
Ben’s Pizzeria on MacDougal near WS. (Must be drunk).
Topos in Ridgewood. Great books and people and patio.
Fort Hamilton Parkway F (for sentimental reasons). That was my stop when i first moved to the city. She did me right.
Tina’s. Coincidentally also my favorite hangover cure.
Maria Hernandez, for the pump track. When they put that shit in it was game over. Also the new turf is delightful, thanks parks dep.
Bunna Cafe. Yummy ass Ethiopian vegan and amazing. Also sentimental.
Tina’s:) OJ, Coffee, Big ol plate of bacon and eggs and hash and maybe some pancakes:)
